"Don't give up Afroz. You are an inspiration to people all over Mother Earth" - Pop's & Kma May 15, 2019 Pop’s woke up at 2:30 a.m. for his three hour morning meditation. His goal was to finish by 5:30 so that he could climb back in bed to wake up with Kma. He grounded to Mother Earth, slowed down his breathing, and listened for the sound current. He visualized a large deep root emanating from his body going down to and connecting with the center and consciousness of Mother Earth, a practice he had learned from Strawberry Moon while he was in Boston. As he locked in this connection through attention to the visualization, seeing and feeling it, his attention shifted to his breathing again. He breathed in as slowly as he could until he felt there was no more capacity in his lungs and then he would let his breath out as slowly as possible and repeat this pattern. With his breath in synch, he shifted his attention to his Pineal and imagined it opening up like the royal read curtains of comedy drama, “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” Now with his connection to Mother Earth in Place, his breathing set to a slow rhythm, and the curtains of his pineal open, he listened for the Sound Current. It didn’t take long for him to listen to it. He just listened with no expectations of it. He didn’t know what the purpose of the Sound Current is. He didn’t get any new information while listening. He often wondered if it was the sound of a download. The Sound most resembled the sound that one hears when he or she holds up a sea shell to ear. When Pops could hear the sound current, he would then look at the time and say to his to his body and mind, “No movement or thoughts for the next 20 minutes.” He would often go longer than 20 minutes. If a thought entered the stage, a part of Pops would remind it that there was to be 20 minutes of thought-free time. The same would happen with his body. If his body started to move or stretch, it was reminded of the 20 minutes. At the moment when Pop’s attention was able to latch on to the Sound Current, it would grow louder. There was still another deep part of Pop’s consciousness that wondered if he is the Sound. He wondered if he could say, “I am Sound.” During his meditations, time always seemed to pass by so quickly as he traveled on his meditation journeys. He had learned to take notes throughout his meditations. While at the time, during meditations, new insights seemed unforgettable, but as he would get busy during the day, he would often forget the visions he saw or new ideas that came in. This morning he wrote, “Much of the mediation was about being centered.” Pops wondered and imagined if he were at the center of the Earth, what direction he would turn. If he were looking at one end of the poles of Mother Earth it would be spinning clockwise, but the other end would be spinning counter-clockwise, but if he were on the other side of the planet he knew that he could perceive that side to be spinning clockwise as well, thus it being only a matter of perception and relativity, but Pops wondered about the very center point of Mother Earth, in which direction would it spin? He wondered if it mattered at all since the spinning only seemed to be a function of physical objects, although he knew that there were non-physical elements like electrons that have apparent orbits and probably spins as well. Pops didn’t come to any big conclusions but felt he journeyed further down a road that will help him to progress more quickly down his conscious evolutionary path. Pops looked at the clock and saw it was 5:00 a.m., only 30 minutes before he would complete his meditation. He remembered his purchase of Xander’s album from the day before and thought this would be the perfect time for a listen to the Hymns and to follow the lyrics to each song. Pops was inspired to find another living Soul on the Spaceship wanting to make the connection. Pops again, felt encouraged to race ahead with his evolution. He wanted to give it everything he had. Kma had woken up at 5:15 a.m. earlier than her usual time of 6:00 a.m. and started her meditation in bed, so Pops continued to listen to all of Xander’s Hymns while sitting in meditation position on the floor. When Pops felt a tube of ointment hit him in the back, he knew it was Kma’s way of getting his attention signaling that her meditation was complete. He joined her in bed and they read and discussed the subtleties of “The Master Path.” After meditation, Kma and Pops prepared for their day. Pop’s had planned to use a video by Alan Watts for the hero of the day, but last night, before going to sleep, Kma showed him a video Marie had posted on Facebook of Afroz Shah, one man who started cleaning a beach in Mumbai India by himself. Pops watched a few other videos of him and was deeply touched and inspired. Water started leaking from Pop’s eyes when he saw the baby turtles crawling out to the sea for their first time. “Alan Watts will have to wait,” Pops thought. Pops and Kma wanted Afroz to know that his work in Mumbai was heard all around the world, including the small town of Prescott Arizona. Pops and Kma were just two Americans, and to them, Afroz was one of their heroes. They imagined what the world would be like with more people took on initiatives by themselves and didn't wait for others to fix the problems. They hoped that his words and actions would be an inspiration to action for other folks around the Globe. “We are all in this together,” Pops thought. Afroz always said, “Small steps, big impact.” “Who else was willing to take some small steps?” Pops wondered. |
